From June 28 to July 4 2010, Romano Prodi visited Beijing as a guest of the China Institute for International Strategic Studies (CIISS) to participate in an international conference on food safety. On this occasion, Romano Prodi had meetings with Hui Liangyu, China’s vice Prime Minister, and with General Chen Bingde, the current PLA’s Chief of Staff.
